Title - Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Licensed Mechanic - 310S or 310T

Location - Vancouver, BC

Pay Rate - From $33.00/Hour CAD

Position Summary:

• Support in maintaining Ground Service Equipment (GSE) in line with company policies.
• Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of all GSE equipment.
• Assist in equipment repairs under the Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Contribute to compiling parts lists and procuring necessary parts.
• Manage work orders for equipment repairs.
• Maintain familiarity with GSE manuals/documents relevant to the work.
• Uphold a clean, efficient, and safe work environment.
• Understand company and government manuals/documents pertaining to the work.
• Perform any additional tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair motor vehicles/heavy equipment.
• Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of all GSE equipment.
• Implement daily GSE maintenance and overhaul programs.
• Conduct Equipment condition assessments, execute repairs, replacements, and adjustments.
• Report safety concerns to the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary education.
• Valid Provincial Driver’s License.
• Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP).
• Proficient in MS Word & Excel.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work indoors or outdoors.
• Willingness to work in restricted airport areas.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, seven days a week.
• 310S or 310T Automotive Service Technician License.
• Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs. for component replacements.
