Purpose Serves as a SME, inspector and liaison in regards to the protection and assurance related to the assets and infrastructure of the natural gas system. Accountabilities Damage Investigations Large Projects (coordinate & Potential Mark-outs) On-site company inspector whenever a third party is excavating near critical company owned facilities Quality assurance and Quality Control May perform routine mark-outs whenever necessary Training of Utility Techs to perform Mark-outs Responsible for inspecting the work of third party excavators, including enforcement of company proceduresregarding safe operation near company gas facilities. Responsible for the accurate marking of gas company facilities before and during construction. Responsible for pre-marking for company excavations in accordance with Georgia Dig Laws and Regulations. Responsible for the leak survey and monitoring of encroachments in conjunction with third-party excavation asnecessary, as well as, pre- and post- blasting surveys as necessary. Responsible for timely and accurate documentation of all field activities. Responsible for assisting operations supervisors in the follow-up and inspection of potential encroachments. Be a technical resource for junior department personal. Lead/ conduct investigations to reported incidents and record incident investigation reports outlining events ofincident.
