The IT Technical Writer Intern is a valued member of the EDCO Products IT Department team. This full-time, non-exempt position is based in Hopkins, MN and reports to the Director of IT. This is a Monday-Friday position with normal working hours of 08:00 am - 04:00 pm. This individual will lead our process documentation initiative. This individual will be responsible for gathering, organizing, documenting and publishing IT, Manufacturing and Distribution process documentation as it relates to our ERP system. Pay Range: $19.00-$21.00 an hour Program Dates: End of May 2025 - Beginning/Mid of August 2025 Essential Duties & Responsibilities An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed described. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Research, outline, write and edit process related content. This requires working closely with IT and various departments throughout EDCO/EDCOAT. Gather information from subject-matter experts, develop, organize and write procedure manuals, technical specifications and process documentation. Work with ERP vendors to further develop correct procedures to include in documentation. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree (or working toward) in journalism, communications, or relevant technical field Experience in written documentation. Driver's license required (local travel only). Excellent written communication skills and detail orientation. Ability to speak and understand Spanish a plus. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
