Job Description

Plan Medicare, one of the top Medicare agencies in New York, is actively seeking a Medicare Sales Agent to join our esteemed team of professionals. We pride ourselves on delivering top-tier service to our customers by offering a diverse range of Medicare insurance plans, including Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Medicare Part D. As a Medicare Sales Agent, you will play a pivotal role in guiding new Medicare clients from the initial lead phase to an active policy. This position reports directly to the VP of Sales.

Role Overview:

The Medicare Sales Agent's primary responsibility is to present Medicare-related products and services tailored to our customers' individual needs. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of Medicare offerings, demonstrate superior verbal and written communication skills, and have a knack for establishing and nurturing customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Educate customers about the intricacies of Medicare products and services, detailing eligibility prerequisites, diverse coverage options, and cost-saving strategies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring consistent satisfaction.
  • Respond swiftly to customer inquiries, providing accurate and comprehensive information.
  • Engage in consistent follow-ups throughout the sales process, ensuring all customer needs are met.
  • Manage sales leads diligently, converting potential interest into firm sales.
  • Keep accurate records of all customer interactions.
  • Stay informed about updates in Medicare regulations and product offerings.
  • Consistently meet or exceed set sales targets.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales. Experience with Medicare is ideal but not mandatory. We are dedicated to training the right candidate.
  • Basic understanding or willingness to learn about Medicare products and services; training will be provided as necessary.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Compensation and Benefits:

This full-time, salaried role offers a competitive base salary with the enticing opportunity for unlimited, uncapped commissions and residuals. This compensation structure not only rewards immediate sales but also ensures continued earnings from maintaining client relationships. For those not yet licensed, Plan Medicare will sponsor your licensure as a health insurance agent within 3 months.
