GMS is actively working to develop the next generation of Underground Coal Miners . To accomplish this, we’re conducting New Miner Training in our rapidly expanding Alabama Region . While no mining experience is required to gain consideration for these positions, ideal candidates will have previous labor experience, ideally in a similar industry such as construction, oil & gas, or something comparable.

Responsibilities

• Perform various underground mining tasks
• Work as safe and efficiently as possible at all times
• Always wear proper PPE, gear, equipment
• Work productively alongside various members of the GMS Team

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a preemployment drug test and background check
• Some form of laboring background
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts, rotating days off and overtime as required
• Basic ability to speak, read and write English

Job Specifications

Work Schedule: 5+ days/week, 40/hours/week, rotating shifts (MAD)

Pay Rate: $20-21/hour
