We are looking for a dynamic Permanent Project Manager to join our team in the aerospace and defense manufacturing industry. This role will be instrumental in driving our strategic goals forward by overseeing all aspects of project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and control of our largest project. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in manufacturing operations management, lean manufacturing, process improvement, and leadership. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about continuous improvement and achieving operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage complex projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meeting or exceeding expectations.
2. Implement lean manufacturing principles and process improvement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality, and supply chain to deliver project objectives.
4. Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
5. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk assessments, and post-project evaluations.
6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify opportunities for process optimization, and implement best practices in project management.
7. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and growth.
8. Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Monitor project performance, manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs, and conduct project reviews to assess outcomes against the project plan.
