Overview: This rolewill own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios. The releases will include application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, infrastructure upgrades, Projects and Programs. The Release Manager will partner closely with Product Owners, engineering teams, internal stakeholders and technology partners to continually improve software release processes to deliver high-quality releases. Primary Responsibilities: You will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes for code through development, test, and production environments. The Release Manager Job function works collaboratively with all participants in software development projects. This position works with Application teams to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying and updating software and environments. The Release Management responsibilities also include building the IT Release Calendar and status reports, working closely with the other IT release managers from different portfolios. The Release Manager will assist in managing projects and interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence. Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio. Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality. Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and that they meet or exceed expectations Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews and Business Go/No-Go reviews. Daily and weekly Release Reporting. Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities. Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors. Communicate effectively with both IT and Business users. Continually work towards making improvements in the release process. Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks. Experience Requirement: 7+Years of Professional IT experience. 3+ years of Release Management experience. Knowledge of software applications, systems implementations and a full understanding of systems development life cycle processes. Proven ability to receive, interpret and communicate information to all stake holders. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills. Demonstrated knowledge of various technologies such as applications, databases, and IT infrastructure. Demonstrated ability to coordinate with cross-functional work teams toward task completion. Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills. Experience working with Release management and CI/CD tools. Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must. Having a deep understanding and ability to manage all change activities from planning to deployment will be keys to success. Experience Preferred: Experience in Configuration Management, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment is desirable.
