Job Description The Research Technology Administrator is a key member of the Office of Clinical and Community Trials (OCCT), responsible for administration of all clinical research systems (Study Tracker (CTMS), eRegulatory, Epic Research, Cayuse, Workday, RADD Chat, SIP, Sharepoint, etc). This role will partner with ORD and other key stakeholders to facilitate the design of workflows and training of our research technologies.
Additionally, this role will assist with creating content for related meetings, tracking and managing decision points, and identifying areas for improvement. Strong communication and presentation skills will be a must. As a representative of the OCCT in institutional committees and workgroups, the Research Technology Administrator will require a broad range of research and technology knowledge and the ability to communicate the needs of the research community.
Job Duties: - Facilitate, oversee, and maintain staff and faculty access to the various research systems
- Participate in super user groups; partner with the Office of Research Development (ORD) and other key stakeholders to facilitate the design of workflows and training of our research technologies
- Host and manage meetings with research leaders and other key stakeholders; create content for the meetings, track and manage decision points and identify areas for improvement
- Review format and contents with study team after start-up (to include naming conventions, shared institutional documents, SOPs)
- Develop and disseminate tip sheets for user application; Perform basic research system troubleshooting; Assist with triaging related IT tickets
- Create and maintain Epic RSH records
- Partner with designated stakeholders to coordinate Workday integration with other research systems
- Manage intake of all research technology requests sent to OCCT, for financial and administrative viability review with leadership, IM, PMO, etc.
- Serve as a central point of contact to facilitate efficient and targeted internal and external communications.
- Communicate and collaborate with Investigators, study teams, appropriate internal departments, and 3rd party vendors through the vendor selection, scoping, and implementation/go-live processes.
- Track data related to system access, issues, usage, etc.
- Represent OCCT on institutional committees and workgroups which focus on issues relating to research technology.
- Other job functions as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of three years of work experience involving clinical research technology platforms (Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), eRegulatory software/systems, electronic research administration (ERA) platforms, enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions, chat software, Sharepoint, etc. strongly preferred.
- Experience with clinical trial conduct, clinical trial budgets, clinical trial financial management, clinical trial agreements, and/or clinical research regulatory management strongly preferred.
- A broad range of research and technology knowledge and the ability to communicate the needs of the research community
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills essential in order to address large, diverse audiences, and interact effectively with IM, DAR, Quantitative Sciences pillar representatives, and decision makers spanning the organization.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal direction required.
- Solution oriented with proven record of managing large scale research projects with diverse complexity required.
- Ability to quickly reason with information to solve new, unfamiliar problems or independent of any prior knowledge
- Exceptional ability to distill complex issues so it is understandable to the lay audience required.
- Ability to handle high volume of work with changing priorities and constant interruptions and establish priorities and deadlines required.
- Personal computer skills; functional experience with integrated software systems and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
