Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Work with others on the Security team and the Everence CISO, assisting with monitoring and administering the Everence SIEM (security and event management system) and other security and risk-based tools within the Everence environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  1. Work with the Everence SIEM/SOC, maintaining and creating rules/alerts/dashboards as needed. 
  2. Collate security incident and event data to produce monthly reports.
  3. Monitor system logs, SIEM tools, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity.
  4. Maintain Everence Web Filter and exceptions according to Everence standards.
  5. Administer and monitor Everence's physical security systems, including cameras and security systems. 
  6. Assist with the Everence phishing program.
  7. Assist with Everence's email encryption and web filtering.
  8. Monitor Everence's security reports. 
  9. Maintain Everence asset inventory system.
  10. Administer Everence application code scanning tools. 
  11. Additional projects and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or a related area

Experience

Experience with web-based programming languages preferred

Skills and Abilities :

  1. Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate and communicate professionally and courteously with all levels within the corporate organization.
  2. Possess an understanding of programming and scripting tools used for administrative purposes.
  3. Understanding of PowerShell scripting and familiarity with REST APIs is preferred.
  4. Must have the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  5. Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and be well-organized.
  6. Must be able to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
  7. Work as a team member and perform other duties as assigned.
  8. Must be able to maintain strict confidence in company and client information.
  9. Possess a commitment to update skills and company product and service knowledge for professional growth
