We are SEO Brothers and we are looking for an SEO Specialist interested in developing their strategic thinking, SEO, and communication skills to ensure success in their clients' campaigns.

This position has a lot of opportunity for growth within our organization and we are excited to add to our growing business.

Hours will be 35 hours per week with schedule flexibility for appointments or anything as it comes up during the week. We are looking for a mostly daytime (within the window of 9:00am-8:00pm) schedule. Working within the North American timezone is not required, although there may be meeting requests that are later in the day from time to time.

About the role

This is a full-time, remote work opportunity. Our specialists typically work a set 9-5 local timezone but have the option for a more flexible schedule.

You will be responsible for a variety of SEO-related tasks to ensure the success of your assigned portfolio of client campaigns. As an SEO specialist, you will help primarily with on-page optimizations including page titles, metadata, optimizing headers, as well as technical SEO maintenance and improvements and more. You will work alongside other specialists and strategists to ensure the success of your team's campaigns.

Some of your day-to-day tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Optimizing existing page content with Frase tool, meta-data, and header tags based on keyword research.
• Creating anchor text documents to help direct the link-building team.
• Conducting keyword research to best understand the client's business and opportunity.
• Conducting campaign strategy on an ongoing basis.
• Completing SEO Audits based on our audit template and process both for new campaigns and prospective campaigns.
• Fixing website issues identified in audits such as broken links, orphaned pages, indexability issues, schema implementation, implementing 301 redirects, and others primarily inside the WordPress environment.
• Optimizing clients’ Google Business Profile.
• Creating pages inside the CMS (mostly WordPress)

Most of our documents and offerings are template-based and well-documented, so you should be able to quickly learn our process and learn our approach to organic SEO. That being said, we are always looking for innovators and people that aren't afraid to voice their concerns or recommendations to improve our processes.

About you

Some specifics, experience, and qualifications you should have:

• You are an excellent writer and communicator in the English language. Our campaigns are typically US/Canada-based and proper spelling and grammar are key.
• You understand good email etiquette as well as "knowing your customer" when it comes to the language used in communications.
• You have a deep understanding and experience with on-page optimization, including writing page titles, meta-descriptions, and optimizing body content.
• You are a strategic thinker and are able to identify SEO opportunities using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs.
• You have experience completing keyword research using Google Keyword Planner and Ahrefs.
• You have experience in Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, and Search Console.
• You have experience with the WordPress platform.
• You have experience working from home, with a reliable internet connection and a reliable computer to work from.
• Excellent attention to detail and working from templates.

Bonus points if:

• You're familiar with ClickUp
• You're familiar with other CMS' such as Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Dato CMS, etc.

What To Expect:

The first couple weeks at SEO Brothers you will likely spend going through company training, meeting new team members, and understanding our partners, business model, and how we operate. We work collaboratively with tools such as Slack, and ClickUp.

During your first three months at SEO Brothers, you will join a team with a small portfolio of campaigns. You will have a mentoring specialist and manager who is there to support and QA your work throughout this timeframe. Your training will involve a variety of areas of SEO and how they relate to a campaign at SEO Brothers, regardless of whether or not that is what a specialist will typically do day-to-day.

After the first three months (if not before), you'll be fully a part of your team and contributing to the success of the campaigns.

What can you expect from the hiring process?

Stage 1 : Applicant Submission and Review

• You will submit your application with the appropriate documents (resume and cover letter)
• We will review your application and invite you to the next stage, if your application fits the role, within 24 hours
  • We might review your LinkedIn profile to get extra insight into your background ( however, you are not required to have a profile set up )

Stage 2 : Language and Culture Interview (30 minutes)

• You will be invited to an interview with our HR department to confirm your language proficiency and cultural fit
• We will review the notes and invite you to the last stage of the interview if we're moving forward with your application

Stage 3 : Subject Matter Interview & Test (45 minutes)

• You will be invited to an interview with the SEO Manager who will guide you through a SEO Specialist test to evaluate your subject matter knowledge
• We will review your entire application and let you know the outcome of it
