Job Description
GB Tech, Inc is seeking a dedicated and skilled leader to become our next  Unattended Ground Sensors (UGS) Team Lead  who will be responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple teams tasked with operations, maintenance, and training of unattended ground sensors (UGS). This role demands a unique combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic vision to support our CBP customer. 
Responsibilities of an  Unattended Ground Sensor (UGS) Team Lead :
  • Supervise and manage the activities of multiple teams from a remote position.
  • Provide strategic direction and operational oversight to ensure effective sensor deployment and maintenance.
  • Maintain currency on the types and abilities of sensors in support of border security operations.
  • Assist with the inventory and maintenance of unattended ground sensors and related systems in various terrains and conditions.
  • Oversee, schedule, track and assist with hands on sensor training.
  • Collaborate with CBP officials to align team operations with customer objectives and priorities.
  • Conduct regular virtual meetings and briefings with team leaders to monitor progress and address any challenges.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for UGS operations.
  • Ensure all activities comply with safety protocols and operational guidelines
  • Analyze data and reports from the field to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of team activities, deployments, and maintenance operations.
  • Coordinate other USG duties in collaboration with USBP personnel
Job Requirements
The ideal leader will have:
  • Active CBP BI  or TOP SECRET clearance 
  • Bachlor's degree in electronics, telecommunications, engineering, or a related field
    • Or equivalent military or law enforcement training.
  • Minimum of 10 years  of experience with unattended ground sensors (UGS) or similar technologies and
    • At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Technical knowledge of various types of UGS (seismic, acoustic, infrared, magnetic, and microwave sensors).
  • Understanding of individual components of UGS systems (power supplies, communication modules, and sensor elements).
  • Proficiency in sensor collection, processing, and data transmission
  • Understanding of wireless communication, encryption and security, and AI with Image Recognition.
  • Knowledge of best practices for sensor emplacement, site selection, and concealment.
  • Skills in signal processing, anomaly detection, and using software tools for data visualization.
  • Knowledge of integrating UGS with other security systems to ensure interoperability.
  • Proven experience in managing remote teams and providing strategic direction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and CBP officials.
  • Ability to develop and implement SOPs and training programs.
  • Understanding of the geographical and environmental conditions in deployment areas and techniques for adapting to these conditions.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing UGS use
